Sé que a muchos la solución a mi problema os podrá parecer obvia, pero ahí os la dejo.

Resulta que me ha dado por instalar In the Wake of Gods después de hace muchos años, pero ya ni me acordaba que requería cambiar el idioma a inglés para la instalación. La primera vez que lo instalé, yo tenía el Windows 98 y no hubo problema, pero en XP no sé dónde se hace porque hasta ahora no me había hecho falta. ¿Me podéis ayudar?

Pues exactamente no te sé decir, porque tengo instalado Vista. Pero por lo que recuerdo era:

Panel del control -> Configuración regional y de idioma

Una vez que estás aquí, yo cambiaría todo a inglés para asegurarme de que fuera a funcionar: teclado, anotación, etc.

Con eso debería funcionar. Y si no, a ver si te puede concretar más alguno de los sabios :)

Sí, se me olvidó decir que ya hice eso, pero sigue saliéndome el mensaje de que necesito cambiar de idioma. ¿No sé?, ¿acaso necesito reiniciar el ordenador?

Si no recuerdo mal, la última vez que lo instale fue cambiando el idioma a ruso, no a inglés. Una vez completada la instalación, puedes cambiarlo antes de jugar. Espero que así te deje.

De todas formas, la secuencia de instalación que indica en la página oficial es la siguiente:

CitarINSTALLATION SEQUENCE

1. Download all WoG files and run self extracting RAR archives.

2. There is a bug in Windows sort function that may make WoG install incorrectly if your system language is not an English. For sure it happens for Swedish. So we recommend you:
- check your system language and if it is English or Russian, all is fine;
- if not, change your local settings to English (Russian) language and country for Canada, Great Britain, Russia or US.

3. Make sure that you removed all other MODs and other files from all Heroes folders (especially from Data folder). We recommend you:
- make a full copy of your SoD or HC;
- uninstall SoD or HC;
- delete all files in ex-Heroes folder (if any) manually;
- install SoD or HC again to the same folder.
IMPORTANT!!!
The full path to Heroes (SoD or HC) must contain only ENGLISH letters
(example: must be "C:GamesHeroes3", must NOT be "C:ìîèèãðûHeroes3").

4. Now you are ready to run install.exe file in WoG download package. Follow further instructions. Be patient - installation may take time (up to a half of an hour)!

5. After WoG installation if you changed your system language/country settings, it is time to change them back.

6. You can run WoG (H3WOG.EXE) or SoD/HC (HEROES3.EXE) that you had previously. Both will work.

7. You get WoG map editor (H3WMAPED.EXE) in addition to your SoD/HC map editor.
- WoG map editor can load RoE, AB, SoD or WoG maps and save them as RoE, AB or WoG;
- WoG map editor cannot generate random maps; use SoD map editor for this purpose then load map to WoG map editor;

8. You get WoG campaign editor (H3WCMPED.EXE) in addition to your SoD/HC campaign editor.

9. You get a new Windows menu folder: "New Life of Heroes". Take a look there for other tools and documentation.

Las instrucciones lo dejan perfectamente claro, no deberias tener problemas...
Una cosa importante, el nuevo editor de mapas, entre las mejoras que trae esta lo llamado ''Advance propierties'', que te permite cambiar la pasabilidad de los objetos a tu gusto. Sin embargo, esta bugeado, te puede corromper el mapa para siempre, para evitar que te le corrompa usa este programa Segei Object Editor. Los pasos son sencillos, cito a salamandre que estoy vago para ponerme a traducir ahora

CitarSergroj object.exe steps:

1) Place the object in desired location.
2) Copy the object
3) Paste the object in Sergroj editor
5) Remove your object from map (very important)
6) Now change the passability to the pasted object in Sergroj BOX
7) Paste the modified object into your map and put it in same location.
